When Solvang Theaterfest decided to hold a fundraising dinner at the Pork Palace in Buellton, we wanted to include a live auction. Having never undertaken a live auction, our planning team decided to ask Jim for his advice and were pleased by his response to give his recommendations on how to proceed. Several of us had seen Jim in action at other nonprofit fundraising events and observed his success in raising funds for those organizations. We hoped he could do the same for us. After the event, one of our board members stated that the best decisions we made was to have a professional auctioneer. How true that was. Prior to the event, Jim advised us on how to organize and write up of our auction items. He coached us on the whole process and recommended the professional spotters and cashiers. All of this agreed that Jim was essential to the auction's success. Our proceeds far exceeded our expectations.
